There was a familiar face in the ESPN announcing booth Saturday night when Ole Miss played host to Texas A&M. Former Rebels coach Tommy Tuberville served as the analyst for the game.
Tuberville once said he’d never leave Oxford, even in a “pine box.” He did, of course, for SEC West rival Auburn, which means he’s not necessarily a favorite son in Oxford.
Still, the Ole Miss game management staff elected to air an old clip of Tuberville leading the crowd in a rendition of “Hotty Toddy,” the team’s rallying cry. It went over about as well as you would think.
