Some recruiting news and notes as zero hour — also known as National Signing Day — approaches, including the commitment of one of the nation’s top-10 cornerbacks to Alabama.
Four-star CB Nigel Knott of Madison (Miss.) Germantown picked Alabama on Monday. Knott (5 feet 11, 175 pounds) picked Alabama over Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Oregon. He is a national top-65 prospect and a top-10 corner. Knott is blessed with both speed and quickness, and possesses great instincts. The Crimson Tide may not be done at cornerback; it is battling Oklahoma for four-star CB Jared Mayden from Sachse (Texas) High, who will decide on National Signing Day.
