Three Ole Miss players were named All-Americans by The Associated Press on Sunday.
Junior defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was named to the AP’s second team for the second straight season.
He was joined by senior safety Trae Elston on the second team. Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell made the third team.
Earlier Sunday news broke that Nkemdiche, of Loganville, Georgia, had been involved in an accident at an Atlanta hotel and was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Police found what they believed to be marijuana in the hotel room.
Nkemdiche has anchored the Rebels’ defensive line for three seasons.
