The SEC led the nation's conferences in draft picks for the 12th consecutive year in 2018. The national-leading 53 NFL Draft picks tied for the third most in SEC history, trailing only the 63 in 2013 and 54 in 2015. The SEC has averaged more than 50 selections per draft since 2006.
The SEC had 10 First Round picks in 2018 and 22 in the last two drafts. In the last 12 NFL Drafts, a nation-leading 111 SEC players have been selected in the opening round, an average of more than nine per season.
