The Egg Bowl will feature three of the SEC’s weekly award winners. MSU quarterback Dak Prescott has been named offensive player of the week; Ole Miss linebacker DeMarquis Gates has been named defense player of the week, and Ole Miss end Marquis Haynes has been named defensive lineman of the week. It was just the second start of Gates’ career. He was filling in for Denzel Nkemdiche.
