SEC Basketball Tournament: Ole Miss throttles Missouri, advances to face Arkansas

Usually, the Thursday night late game at the SEC Tournament is a perfect storm for #SECBasketballFeverAfterDark that results in several hundred Kentucky fans cheering for an upset. Ole Miss, having no use for your snarky fun with that hashtag, ran a highly efficient offense to jump on Missouri in the first half, and spent the second half crushing hope on the way to an 86-74 win.

Led in the first half by Deandre Burnett’s 16 points, which included four threes and perfection from the field (6-6), and Sebastian Saiz’s 948th-ish career double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds), the Rebels were out in front by as many as 14 points in the first 20 minutes before getting to the locker room up 10.
