Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze reportedly has his new coordinators – one new face and one old one.
The Rebels plan to name Phil Longo as their new offensive coordinator and Wesley McGriff as their new defensive coordinator, as reported Thursday by FootballScoop.com.
Longo, 48, just finished his third season with FCS power Sam Houston State, whose season ended last weekend in the FCS quarterfinals. This would be Longo’s first job at the FBS level. McGriff, 49, meanwhile, is a familiar name to Rebels fans. He worked as co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach at Ole Miss in 2012, then moved to the NFL’s New Orleans Saints for three years.
