Saturday night, in front of over 64,000 fans at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the Rebels fell
to the Louisiana State Tigers by a score of 40-24. And as the unwritten rules state, the Magnolia Bowl trophy must remain Baton Rouge for another season. In the end, after trailing by just seven at halftime and then late into the third quarter, the Tiger rushing attack proved to be too much for the Rebel defense to handle.
