Rebel baseball readies itself for massive weekend against No. 9 LSU

The last time Ole Miss baseball won a series against LSU in Red Stick, baseball was called four corners, everyone wore wool tuxedos as uniforms, and the ball was just a bunch of socks tied together with yarn.

OK, so that’s a slight exaggeration, it was only 1982 during the Ronald Reagan administration. Most of the Cup staff were only glints in our fathers’ eyes.

Needless to say, this series typically brings a lot of pain with it mainly due to LSU’s terrible fans, their consistent winning, and having to look at that dumb Tony Chachere’s logo grinning at us from the backstop as we stumble through yet ANOTHER series.
