Ole Miss held their first practice that was open to the media on Monday. Here are a few quick takeaways from a practice without pads. Most of my time was spent watching the offensive side of the ball:
As always, I'm going to keep an eye on the offensive line most of the time. Without shoulder pads on, it's tough to take much away. Those don't go on until Thursday. However, what stands out is the tackle position's future. While there is some inexperience there now, with freshman Greg Little, RS-freshman Alex Givens, freshman Royce Newman, freshman Bryce Mathews, and redshirt sophomore Sean Rawlings, there is more depth at the position than there has been in a long time.
