Alabama stayed on top of The Associated Press and coaches’ polls Monday, and Texas A&M was among several other SEC schools making moves.
The undefeated Aggies climbed from eighth to sixth in both polls after Saturday’s wild 45-38 double-overtime victory against Tennessee.
The Volunteers, formerly ranked ninth in both polls, stayed in the same position in the media poll but dropped to 11th in the coaches’ poll.
Defending national champion Alabama remained in first, earning 56 of a possible 61 first-place media votes and 58 of 63 first-place votes from the coaches.
