Sports Illustrated released an incriminating story about former Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil on Wednesday, but that didn’t stop the school’s local police department from finding humor in the situation.
Not long after the story was published, the Oxford Police Department, which has a notably strong Twitter game, issued a not-so-coincidental tweet about an upcoming event at a local McDonald’s – the location of meetings NCAA investigators had with Tunsil’s estranged stepfather Lindsey Miller in the town.
The Oxford Police Department’s tweet came about an hour and a half after SI senior writer Pete Thamel first tweeted the link to his Tunsil story.
