Ole Miss won’t play a bowl game this year, but one Rebels player is in contention to be recognized as the best at his position in college football.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown was selected Monday morning as one of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, presented each year to the best wide receiver in college football.
Brown is the only SEC player among the 10 nominees.
The list also includes three players from the Big 12, two each from the American Athletic and Pac-12 and one each from the ACC and Mountain West.
From a statistical standpoint, Brown has easily compiled the most impressive numbers in the SEC this season.
