Last week sucked. No way around it.
Ole Miss (1-4) lost yet another game in the fourth quarter that was quite winnable AND suffered at the hands of the officials in a big-time missed call on a muffed kickoff. Alas, the beat goes on and the Rebels are off to Nashville to take on the miserable Vanderbilt Commodores (0-3).
Derek Mason’s team hasn’t played in three weeks due to a lack of scholarship players because of a brief COVID-19 outbreak. But, even when they’ve played, it’s been a disaster. They’ve scored 26 total points in those three games, have barely passed for 400 yards, haven’t come close to sniffing 200 yards rushing yet, and have thrown more interceptions (4) than touchdowns (3).
