We've already been over the fact that, historically, we shouldn't go overboard with Ole Miss' 17-1 record heading into conference play. In 2013, Mike Bianco's team started 18-1 before going 15-15 in the SEC and getting knocked out of someone else's regional by William & fucking Mary. In 2012 it was a 14-3 start followed by 14-16 in conference and an early trip home from the College Station regional.
There is, however, one key reason to think the Rebs will have better success sustaining momentum through conference play this time around: they caught some breaks with their East division scheduling.
