Just when it seemed like the buildup to this year’s Ole Miss-Memphis family feud had been lacking that meanness factor, Tigers linebacker Jackson Dillon went and ran his mouth in all the wrong ways on the eve of Saturday’s clash in Oxford. Not a good look, my guy.
Weak trash talking aside, the tale of Ole Miss’ preparation week ahead of the Memphis game is one of unknowns. Justin Fuente and Paxton Lynch are gone, yes, but the Tigers’ offensive has looked as potent as ever in 2016. Hugh Freeze won’t call it a revenge game, and anyway these programs have bred an intense hatred out of a 100-year old familiarity.
