Ole Miss basketball has come into a more clear picture as far as expectations go in the last two weeks.
Prior to entering conference play, all the numbers suggested Rebel basketball would be competitive albeit skeptics likely saw a top ranked defense and the low level competition to be contributing factors. But the rigorous play of the Southeastern Conference has put two things in perspective: Ole Miss (6-4, 1-2 SEC) has a lot of new faces who haven’t “gelled” yet, and the Rebels can’t seem to compete with the better half of the SEC.
Alabama and LSU both notched relatively easy wins against the Rebels — one on the road and one at home.
