Coach Mike Smith and No.24 Ole Miss softball (22-8, 3-2) were back in action Monday night as they faced South Carolina in game-three of their first SEC road series of the 2019 season. The Rebels entered the game-three matchup coming off a 2-0 game-two win over the Gamecocks. South Carolina picked up the 2-0 win in game-one.
In game-three the Rebels got on the board first with 2 runs behind the home run of senior Brittany Finney and had a 2-0 run lead heading into the fifth inning. However it began to rain and the game was set in a delay.
