Ole Miss scores much – much – needed win over Vanderbilt 57-35

Mississippi hadn’t seen success on the field since it hosted UT-Martin over a month ago inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Since that time, the Rebels have been outscored 137-42 in three losses.

Saturday, Ole Miss found its offensive stride posting 35 first quarter points – 28 coming in the second quarter alone – en route to a 57-35 win over Vanderbilt. Ole Miss moves to 3-3 on the season and notches its first Southeastern Conference win of the year.

Offense finds life

In the first half alone, Ole Miss burned the Vanderbilt defense for 235 passing yards, 97 rushing yards and 35 points.
