In all fairness, Shea Patterson didn't break any records. He was only able to tie the passing touchdowns record (18) at IMG Academy. But, before making any rash comments down low, let's remember that Shea Patterson only played eight regular season games and rarely ever played an entire four quarters. Now, let that sink in. This past week saw the No. 1 player in the country go about his business with ease accounting for five total touchdowns and defeating the Eastern Christian Academy (Md.) Honey Badgers 50-16.
The 6'2, 193-pounder had his way with the Honey Badgers' secondary as he tossed three touchdown passes, two to Ole Miss four-star wide receiver target Drake Davis, and also scampered in for two touchdown runs, a two-yard plunge and a 12-yard dash.
