Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson shows poise during spring game

Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson was thrust into the starting role during the final three games of his 2016 freshman season following Chad Kelly’s knee injury.

In 2017, he will be expected to be the centerpiece of the Rebels’ offense. If Saturday’s intrasquad spring game is any indication of how he’ll play, fans should be excited in Oxford.

Patterson completed 21 of 30 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. According to head coach Hugh Freeze, the rising sophomore has adjusted to the starting role since taking over late last year.

“He’s settled in and everybody knows that,” Freeze said.
