Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson hasn’t played in many college football games yet, but it seems like it may be hard for any atmosphere to top his first one at the level.
“The craziest atmosphere was probably Kyle Field at Texas A&M,” Patterson told 247Sports on Sunday at the QB Retreat in Southern California. “Not only was it my first collegiate game, but just the atmosphere. I think they had like 103,000 people there. The jitters of the first game. Once I got that first play over with, though, it was fine.”
Patterson, a true freshman last season, played in Ole Miss’ final three games (all starts) in 2016 after his redshirt was pulled following starting quarterback Chad Kelly’s season-ending injury.
