Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly to undergo MRI on injured knee

Ole Miss senior quarterback Chad Kelly will be checked out carefully after leaving Saturday’s 37-27 win over Georgia Southern with an injury.

Rebels coach Hugh Freeze said in his postgame news conference that Kelly will undergo an MRI Sunday on the knee injury that forced him out in the third quarter against the Eagles. He did not return after sustaining the injury.

Freeze said he didn’t know the extent of Kelly’s injury.

“I have no idea,” he said.

Kelly threw for 226 yards and accounted for three touchdowns (one passing, two rushing) in the win before exiting the game.
