The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine wants no part of Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly.
The NFL is simply grandstanding at this point, because make no mistake, Kelly absolutely deserves to be one of the combine’s 330 invitees.
Kelly ended his Ole Miss career having thrown for 6,800 yards and 40 touchdowns. In 2015 alone, he finished with 4,542 total yards and 4,042 passing yards. Both are third-most in a season in SEC history, trailing Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M.
Not only should Kelly make the trip, former Indianapolis Colts vice chairman and current ESPN analyst Bill Polian said he is the best quarterback in this year’s draft.
