Ole Miss play-by-play announcer David Kellum has been named the Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year, the National Sports Media Association announced Wednesday.
Kellum also won Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2010, 2011 and 2015.
National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association members in Mississippi voted Kellum as the winner.
Kellum, an Oxford native and 1980 Ole Miss graduate, is in his 28th year calling Rebels football games. He also calls Ole Miss men’s basketball and baseball games, the latter of which he began doing as a freshman in 1978.
Kellum will be honored at the 58th annual National Sports Media Association Awards Weekend on June 25-26 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
