The last time we saw our heroes, they were knee deep in the postseason with a trip to Sea Island for the SEC Championships. The stroke play portion of the event would run for three days with the top eight teams advancing to match play.
The Rebs were up to the task on Day one as the entire roster had quality outings, which led to a team score of -5 and a 3rd-place spot after the 1st round. The team was led by freshmen, and recent newcomer to the five-man rotation, Jack Gnam. He fired an opening salvo of -3 (67) to push into the top-five on the individual scoreboard.
