Ole Miss given an extra 30 days to respond to NCAA allegations

It was actually a third party that requested and was granted the extension. Either way, we'll have to wait another month to get Ole Miss' response, and it could be October before the whole thing is resolved.

Friday marks 90 days since Ole Miss opened a letter from the NCAA informing the school that it was being charged with some 30 violations, and Friday was supposed to be the deadline by which Ole Miss had to respond.

Instead, the metaphorical can has been kicked another month down the road. Rebels Athletic Director Ross Bjork confirmed in a statement on Thursday afternoon that the NCAA has granted a 30 day extension at the request of "a party other than Ole Miss," according to The Clarion-Ledger.
