Ole Miss freshman defensive end Charles Wiley, who enrolled in January, was charged with domestic violence Monday.
RebelGrove.com reported that Wiley was arrested Monday afternoon by Oxford Police and booked into Lafayette County Jail at 6:15 p.m. The report said he still was in custody as of Tuesday morning. The Jackson Clarion-Ledger confirmed the arrest.
OleMissSpirit.com reported that Wiley’s girlfriend also was arrested, but there were no details as to what may have happened between the two.
Wiley, a four-star recruit from Stockbridge (Ga.) High in the Atlanta suburbs, reportedly will be held out of all football-related activities for the time being.
