Ole Miss will face a familiar foe at NRG Stadium in Houston to open up the 2018 football season: Texas Tech. The Rebels have faced the Red Raiders four times since 1998 and five times overall.
The last meeting between the two teams came in the 2009 Cotton Bowl in Dallas with Ole Miss winning 47-34. The teams squared off in a home-and-home series in the 2002 and 2003 seasons with Texas Tech sweeping that series.
Former Ole Miss and current Duke head coach David Cutcliffe won his first game with the Rebels in the 1998 Independence Bowl versus Texas Tech, winning 35-18.
