So it was a big day of sorts for the Ole Miss football program. As the Rebels head into their ninth game of the season against the South Carolina Gamecocks there was word from the NCAA regarding the Rebels six-year investigation and subsequent rulings from the Committee On Infractions. Today we truly learned the Rebels fate.
The aftershocks are finally over as the NCAA officially closed the books on the six-year witch hunt which has haunted the Ole Miss football program. While Ole Miss may not go bowling in 2018 the NCAA lifted all sanctions involving unofficial visits which is huge for the program and ultimately means less damage done.
