Many of us Ole Miss football fans have already noticed the distinct focus on defense within this 2018 recruiting class. It’s obvious coach Matt Luke has seen the deficiencies in-depth on that side of the ball and is determined to rebuild it. If that is indeed the case then he has covered on defensive linemen.
Of the 14 early signees 10 are defensive players. Of those 10 there are 4 defensive tackles. The grind of SEC trench play is brutal and especially for a defensive lineman and especially a tough defensive tackle. Of course, depth is very important and Ole Miss has signed some of the best.
