We watched as coach Matt Luke made some changes with his staff heading into 2019. Some coaches were fired and some coaches departed for other jobs. One new addition we saw was on the defensive side of the ball at the coordinator position with the hiring of Mike MacIntyre as the Rebels new DC and his new 3-4 defense.
With the Rebels new defensive coordinator and the new defensive scheme we knew there would be more changes within the staff. Former linebackers coach Jon Sumrall found what he believes will be greener pastures in Lexington and that left an open spot with spring practice already underway.
