The first official College Football Playoff rankings came out on Tuesday night and had the Rebs sitting at a comfortable No. 16 spot.
Losing to No. 18 Auburn this weekend was not ideal in regards to Ole Miss’ post-season dreams. It is almost guaranteed that they have no chance of winning the SEC West, making any playoff dreams unattainable at this point in the season. However, there are still quite a few winnable games left on the schedule. Don’t count the Rebs out of a New Year’s Six bowl quite yet.
Ole Miss will look to finish out their non-conference opponents this weekend in Oxford against the Liberty Flames.
