In the game against Cal we saw the repercussions of Ole Miss football losing their starting center Sean Rawlings. Of course, there were a number of false start penalties which were called against the Rebels. Penalties killed our momentum and extremely affected the up-tempo Ole Miss Rebel offense.
With the season-ending injury to Eli Johnson against UT-Martin, only Javon Patterson was left to make the snaps in the Cal game.
