Ole Miss’ defense got a boost with the news that defensive tackle Issac Gross can fully participate in fall camp. He played in just one game last season before missing the rest of the season with a neck injury.
Coach Hugh Freeze told the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger at a “Rebels Road Trip” stop in Jackson on Tuesday nightthat Gross is “full go” and has been cleared for contact.
Gross took part in spring practice on a limited basis; he was not able to participate in contact drills. He had disk fusion surgery in September to repair damage from an injury suffered in the season-opener against UT-Martin.
