At its best, Tuesday’s showdown between Ole Miss and Florida was a wasted opportunity. At worst, it was another early misstep by the Ole Miss basketball.
Devontae Shuler dropped 19 points, the Rebels led by nine with six minutes to play, but Ole Miss lost by nine, 72-63. From the 6:28 mark where Shuler made a layup to put Ole Miss up 61-52, the Rebels were outscored 20-2. Not great, Bob!
The game also ended on a weird note with a foul on Romello White ending his evening and a tech called on Kermit Davis that sent Florida to the line for approximately 1,000 free throws essentially putting the game away.
