Ole Miss basketball signee Sammy Hunter is academically cleared and will enroll next week, per report

Kermit Davis received some good news on Friday, hearing that three-star signee Sammy Hunter had passed his summer school courses and will be enrolling at the University of Mississippi next week, per 10th Year Seniors. The Bahamian native finished his high school career in Canada and chose to sign with the Rebels over notable offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Kansas State, and Oklahoma among others.

The 6’9, 230-pound forward will almost certainly be a factor in the front court rotation that saw Bruce Stevens graduate and Dominik Olejniczak transfer to Florida State. Hunter joins fellow three-stars Dude Collum and Khadim Sy as the focal pieces to replace the two aforementioned forwards and they all three will certainly provide plenty of athleticism and depth for Davis and his staff.
