Coach Mike Bianco and Ole Miss baseball (33-23, 16-14) were on the road trying to bounce back from the series sweep at the hand of Miss State. The Rebels were looking at a four-game losing streak after the midweek road loss at Arkansas State. Tennessee would be a rough series for the Rebels as they took the losses in the first two games.
Saturday the Rebels were able to get the game-three win over the Vols and ended the six-game losing skid. Coach Mike Bianco has seen his share losing streaks during his tenure as Ole Miss head coach seeing two six-game losing skids in past seasons.
