Tuesday coach Mike Bianco and Ole Miss baseball (34-23) began the SEC Tourney in Hoover. Ole Miss entered the tourney coming off a regular season ending win over Tennessee and made the tourney as a No.7 seed. The Rebels would have to face Missouri (34-25-1) in their tourney opener. The Missouri Tigers wouldn’t make it easy.
Missouri got on the board first with 1 run in the top of the second inning to take the early 1-0 lead. The Rebels answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the 2-1 lead. Behind a strong showing on the hill the Rebels were able to sneak away with the 2-1 win.
