Ole Miss baseball has been dealing with hitting issues for several weeks. However, the hitting is no longer a problem. The hitting has translated into fewer base-runners being stranded and of course, a 5-game winning streak. Of course, the increase in offensive production has also taken pressure off a powerful, yet young pitching staff.
Ole Miss (21-12, 6-6) has found itself facing a weekend road series against the #8 LSU Tigers in Red Stick. Consistent and productive hitting will be the key into making the LSU series interesting and possibly catching the three teams tied for the lead in the SEC West.
