Ole Miss baseball (21-3, 3-2) was coming into the Friday night match-up with No.12 Texas A&M (19-5, 2-3) off a exciting 5-4 game-one win. Of course, the Rebels were set on taking control of the Friday night game and getting the series with a game-two win. However, the Aggies are a No.11 team for reason and on their home field at Blue Bell Park a win is never easy. The Rebels had their hands full in game-two.
After a scoreless 1st frame the Aggies jumped on the board hard in the bottom of the 2nd with 4 runs.
