Here is a report that I received from Collin Brister, former sports editor of The Daily Mississippian, who is in Hoover this week:
“It was the J.B. Woodman show on Tuesday as Ole Miss took down Georgia 5-1 to advance to Wednesday’s contest against South Carolina.
With Tate Blackman on first and Will Golsan on second in the bottom of the fourth and Ole Miss trailing 1-0 Woodman delivered a two-RBI triple to give Ole Miss a 2-1 lead.
The Rebels would tag on two more runs two batters later as Colby Bortles laced a two-RBI double to left field to bring in Woodman and junior catcher Henri Lartigue.
