This isn’t exactly news, since it’s been in the works for a few months now, but Ole Miss and Louisville will represent the SEC and ACC, respectively, in the annual Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic over Labor Day weekend of 2021. This will be the first football meeting between these two teams. The 2018 participants — always culled from the SEC and ACC — were of course Alabama and FSU, with the former annihilating the latter, 24-7. Maybe “annihilate” isn’t the right word. We don’t care.
Anyway, that’s happening. What’s further happening is the coupling of two teams attached to respective coaches with decidedly questionable private life decision-making abilities.
