Ole Miss announced its 37th head football coach at a team meeting on campus led by its Director of Athletics, Ross Bjork. Bjork intimated throughout the season he wanted to have a permanent coach in place by the week following the Egg Bowl and he has done just that.
While addressing the team, he listed the characteristics he wanted in the school’s next head coach.
In front of the team, the interim tag was removed and Matt Luke was named the permanent head coach. As you can imagine, the decision was welcomed by the players in the room.
