Ole Miss did its job on Tuesday night and got through its midweek game against Alcorn State with an 11-1 win in eight innings.
The game lasted only eight innings due to a 10-run rule being in effect after seven innings. Honestly, the Cup and probably all college baseball fans would be fine to see this in place at all times except the postseason.
It took a little while for the bats to heat up on Tuesday night, but the No. 4 Rebels (11-2) pushed across four runs in the sixth and eighth innings to secure the run-rule win.
