Good news for one former Rebel. The Cleveland Browns have signed defensive back Trae Elston to the team. Elston will get the opportunity to demonstrate his skills on a national stage.
The 5-11, 193-pound Oxford, AL. native was not drafted. However, Elston was originally signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. After being released by the Saints he spent a few weeks on the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s practice squad.
Elston is truly missed at Ole Miss. His absence is felt on the defensive side of the ball. While at Ole Miss, he was a four-year starter.
