More info comes out on Ole Miss’ alleged violations

Numerous media reports say 13 of the 28 alleged violations involve football and that nine of those 13 occurred during coach Hugh Freeze’s tenure. The other four football violations happened under the watch of predecessor Houston Nutt. The 13 violations were a mix of Level I, which are classified as the most serious, as well as Level II and Level III.

The Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger reported that each of Laremy Tunsil’s five reported violations count separately in the notice of allegations. Tunsil was suspended for the first seven games of the 2015 season for impermissible benefits. ESPN.com reported that the other violations that took place during Freeze’s tenure are low-level violations.
