Former Ole Miss standout Michael Oher has been in the concussion protocol since September and looks to make his return to the Carolina Panthers during training camp.
During that process, Oher revealed he was routinely “checked on” by former team general manager David Gettleman. Gettleman was fired this week, much to the joy of several former Panthers players including Josh Norman, Steve Smith Sr. and DeAngelo Williams.
Oher, however, showed gratitude toward Gettleman in an Instagram post on Tuesday saying he “hated to hear” the news of his termination.
According to ESPN’s league source, Oher is expected to return to training camp on July 25, although his future with the team hasn’t been determined.
