LSU defeats Ole Miss, moves on to quarterfinals

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Chloe Jackson had her second career double-double, Ayana Mitchell scored 14 with seven rebounds and No. 7 seed LSU beat Ole Miss 65-49 in the SEC Tournament.

Jackson finished with 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and Raigyne Moncrief scored 10 for LSU (20-10). The Tigers will play sixth-ranked and second-seeded Mississippi State in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Taylor Manuel's layup to open the second half gave No. 10 seed Ole Miss a 32-29 lead, but the Rebels missed their next six shots, and 12 of their next 14, and LSU used a 23-6 run to take a 52-38 lead into the fourth quarter.
