A bad year became even bleaker for Ole Miss when the school confirmed Sunday that sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Presumably, junior Jordan Ta’amu, a junior college transfer, will ascend to the starting role the rest of the way for the Rebels.
An Ole Miss spokesman confirmed Shea Patterson suffered a torn PCL and will miss the remainder of the season.

Patterson was injured in the first half of Saturday night’s loss to LSU but returned in the second half with a brace.
